Introduction
The purpose of this Business Requirements Document (BRD) is to outline the requirements for implementing a Balanced Scorecard (BSC) within an organization in the tourism industry. This BSC will include four perspectives: financial, customer, internal business process, and innovation and learning. The aim is to ensure that projects monitored by the Project Management Office (PMO) are aligned with the strategic goals of the organization.
Business Objectives
The primary business objective is to align all projects with the strategic goals of the organization using a Balanced Scorecard. This alignment will ensure that the organization's efforts are focused on achieving its strategic vision and mission.
Project Scope
In-Scope:
- Implementation of a Balanced Scorecard including:
- Financial Perspective
- Customer Perspective
- Internal Business Process Perspective
- Innovation and Learning Perspective
- Definition of goals and measures for each perspective
- Establishing success and failure criteria for each perspective
Out-of-Scope:
- Implementation of individual projects monitored by the PMO
- Changes to existing PMO processes outside of Balanced Scorecard alignment
